Discover a Watershed: The Colorado Learning Expedition June 15th to July 31st, 2003 An important element in the development of the Discover a Watershed: the Colorado River project is the Summer 2003 Expedition. College students from throughout the basin who are committed to careers in formal or non-formal education will participate in a 6-week excursion through the watershed. Water managers, scientists, artists, recreationists, ranchers, educators, tribal members, and other Colorado water users will meet with the group to offer their insights and perspectives on the river. Experiences gained by the students will enrich the writing and curriculum development process. Expedition members will participate in a writing workshop with peer-nominated educators from throughout the basin to develop the Educators Guide, and will contribute to on-going networking efforts for the project. Eleven students from seven states in the US and Mexico have been chosen to participate in this unique learning adventure. Link to Colorado Educators Guide Link to Colorado KIDS Activity Booklet
